Wreck of WWI cruiser HMS Nottingham discovered in the North Sea after 109 years
The wreck of HMS Nottingham, the last unlocated Royal Navy cruiser from World War I, has been discovered in the North Sea by the international dive team ProjectXplore 109 years after the ship was sunk by a German submarine in 1916. The wreck is remarkably well preserved, with all nine guns still in position.
